Raising the bar
Sector leading life sciences website
Oxford BioMedica has been a thinkerdoer client since 2009. When we set out to build our third website for them we all had one thing at the top of our list - build the best website in the sector.
Over the years we have been working with them, Oxford BioMedica has matured to the point where they command a leading role at the centre of the gene and cell therapy sector. They are moving towards becoming a self-sustaining business with revenues from both royalties relating to their own products and those of others where they share an interest, and service contract income from their world class bioprocessing production.
While Oxford BioMedica’s own pipeline targeting cancer, ocular and neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s is being developed, their LentiVector technology is already close to enabling Novartis to make their treatment for blood cancer a reality. The CTL019 product is widely expected to be approved by the FDA later in 2017. This will be the first gene and cell therapy treatment approved for the US market and as such will be a milestone achievement for both Oxford BioMedica and Novartis, as well as the exciting gene and cell therapy sector.
The Company is preparing for the next stage in the journey and the new website has been profiled to focus on the key audiences; investors, partners and customers, regulators, the media and employees. Each audience group has a bespoke user journey mapped-out and cross-referenced against best practice guidelines and good practice examples from around the world.
Successful on many levels, the online effectiveness of this new website clearly tells the story of who Oxford Biomedica is and delivers thinkerdoer style to-the-point messaging in an easy-to-access and understand manner, while also being a complete reference point and data centre of visitors – whether they are looking for an insight to what the Company do, up-to-date and factual investor information, or career opportunities in this fast growing business.
